Meet the new Resilient & Ready farmers
Following a successful round of applications with some fantastic candidates showing interest, we've selected the next two farms to join the Resilient & Ready programme!

These farmers will work alongside Corteva and LEAF (Linking Environment and Farming) through training, consultancy and trials over the next three years, with the ultimate aim to become leaders in sustainable agriculture.
Lucy & Nick Tyler
Kingsplay Farming Co, Calne, Wiltshire
Nick and Lucy Tyler of Kingsplay Farming Company Ltd, manage an 850ha mixed dairy, beef, arable and forage business in North Wiltshire, sat on the Western border of the North Wessex Downs AONB.

Lucy, a qualified vet, and Nick, the third generation in his family to farm at Kingsplay, manage and care for 804 dairy cattle and 298 beef cattle, optimising the health and welfare of their animals. Their ambition is to be fully self-sufficient on feed through utilising homegrown crops and land.

The name 'Kingsplay' comes from King's Play Hill, a 29.5 hectare biological Site of Special Scientific Interest situated in the parish of Heddington, Wiltshire.
Bryony, Robert & Archie Graham
J&E Graham, Lodge Farm, Nazeing, Essex
The Graham family have been farming at Lodge Farm, a 300-hectare arable farm, for almost 100 years. Their farm is situated in Nazeing, Essex, just north of Greater London. With Bryony returning from a career in scientific research and her brother Archie returning from a career in marketing, they join their father Robert as managing partners of Lodge Farm.

Whilst caring strongly for the environment they live and work in, farming arable crops (wheat, barley and oats) on heavy, clay soils has proven a challenge at times. The Grahams aim to explore new techniques for improving the productivity of these soils. Recently, they have expanded their rotation by introducing a 7ha trial of short-term willow coppice and have installed a biomass boiler to heat their buildings. Since 2018, they have also established a successful wedding and events venue business in their converted barns.
