Protect your potato crop from late blight with Zorvec Endavia
The weather over the last few days has created favourable conditions for late blight with Hutton Criteria being met in many regions in mid-June. Some potato crops are well into the rapid growth stage and will merit from the unrivalled combination of systemic movement into new growth and consistency of control provided by Zorvec Endavia®.
Corteva recommend applying Zorvec Endavia two times at an interval of 7-10 days during the rapid growth phase, with the remaining 1-2 applications applied at stable canopy phase. Using Zorvec Endavia delivers two active ingredients from different fungicide groups, ensuring a robust anti-resistance strategy.
Benefits of Zorvec:
- Systemic - moves into new growth for cleanest possible start for your crop
- Curative - only offered by oxathiapiprolin, cymoxanil and propamocarb
- Persistence - greater than any other active ingredient available to growers
- Benefit from Zorvec applied at Rapid Growth well into your blight programme (find out more in the Potato Technical Update, Spring 2023)
- Enables use at 10 day intervals
- As rainfast as any product available to growers

Oilseed rape herbicides water stewardship
As we approach the 2023 harvest and thoughts turn to the next cropping cycle, some consideration into the position, aspect and layout of your next OSR field will pay dividends in season by mitigating herbicide run off into water courses in the event of heavy rainfall.
- Aim to grow your OSR on low-risk fields i.e. those that don’t slope to a watercourse are less susceptible to run-off, or select a field further away from a water course.
- Consider appropriate establishment, direction of working travel, soil type and topography.
- Lay out tramlines so that they do not provide a direct route for water to leave the field. Disturb the surface compaction in the tramlines if possible.
- Buffer zones next to watercourses reduce run-off and soil particles that may contain pesticides reaching watercourses. The Voluntary Initiative recommends a 6m buffer along watercourses if possible. Wider buffers are advisable in particularly vulnerable areas. Help keep OSR herbicides on the field, optimise their efficacy and prevent run off into water courses.

Cereals Event 2023 highlights and competition winner
It was great to see so many folk at the Corteva stand at Cereals Event 2023. The team were privileged to host DEFRA Minister, Mark Spencer, who enjoyed a tour of the stand and gained an understanding about how Corteva is part of the solution to help UK farmers with the challenges they face.
Visitors to the stand were able to have great conversations with Corteva staff, take part in prize draws and competitions, and enjoy tasty pizza and coffee. Over the 2 days we served 2,400 slices of pizza and 780 hot drinks. 650+ visitors to the Corteva stand were on the CPD knowledge trail – we hope you found our posters and team to be very helpful. 1,150 giant #BigBlueBags were given out at the event, it did feel like they were everywhere! We hope you picked one up and will get lots of good use from the bags and trays. Click here to watch a few highlights from the 2 days.
Congratulations to Chris at E. & T.N. Welburn for becoming our most recent winner in the Corteva monthly prize draw.
