Inatreq™ active: 2024 best practice sprayer hygiene and maintenance, application advice and £200 stewardship support offer
The 2023 AHDB fungicide performance trials have shown that Univoq™ fungicide continues to be one of the leading treatments against Septoria and rusts. The trials, which entered their 30th year, monitor the performance of different fungicides, both as straights and as coformulations, to help guide product choice for farmers and agronomists.
Containing the Inatreq™ active molecule and the patented i-Q4™ formulation, Univoq has a unique site of action, meaning there is no cross resistance to any other chemistry used on farms today.
Fungicides faced a tough Septoria test in 2023 with a relatively wet March and cool April driving early disease. The AHDB results demonstrate just how reliable the performance of Univoq is across seasons with varying characteristics.
For farmers and sprayer operators wanting to utilise the unique benefits of Corteva products containing Inatreq active this year, new best practice application advice and resources are now available to help optimise field operations.
Our Inatreq Stewardship Support Offer is running again this year offering farmers and spray contractors a goodwill gesture of £200 towards the cost of sprayer parts purchased in conjunction with Corteva products containing Inatreq fungicide. The Stewardship Support Offer portal for 2024 is now live to submit:
- Proof of purchase of 20-litres of Corteva product containing Inatreq™ active fungicide (these are Univoq™, Peacoq™, Inconiq™, Questar™, Aquino™, Apaveq™, Poquet™ or Peqtiga™); and
- Proof of purchase of any nozzle anti-drip diaphragms or pistons, pump diaphragms or a Ramsay box seal in alignment with the Corteva application advice.
The Offer is limited to the first 2,000 successful claims made before the closing date of 31st August 2024.

Kinsidro Grow+: Corteva's sustainably sourced biostimulant
Whilst crops drilled before the weather conditions deteriorated in autumn 2023 come into the spring stressed, cereal crops drilled in the new year will suffer from winter stress. Recently drilled crops will be significantly backwards coming into the season, suffering from poor tillering and increased susceptibility to disease.
Mitigating abiotic stress in cereal crops coming out of winter and into spring is crucial.
Products containing humic substances are widely acknowledged to play a role in abiotic stress mitigation. However, many humic based products are derived from compounds extracted from open cast mining. These products are usually applied at high use rates (20-50kg/ha) but have variable humic acid and low fulvic acid content.
Derived from sustainable Nordic pine forests, Kinsidro® Grow+ is a humic substance-based biostimulant from Corteva's developing biologicals portfolio. The patented sustainable extraction method yields a consistently high quality product with high fulvic acid concentration. Both humic and fulvic acids in Kinsidro Grow+ are chelated with essential macro and micronutrients. Superior to mining-derived products, Kinsidro Grow+ is highly concentrated with a conveniently low application rate of 0.15kg/ha.

Kinsidro Grow+ optimises nutrient availability for metabolic and physiological processes during early plant growth. In activating enzymes that produce antioxidants, Kinsidro Grow+ is able to neutralise excess reactive oxygen species produced in winter stressed plants that will cause cell damage, death, and reduced plant growth.
Polyphenols are important molecules produced by a plant and are responsible for disease resistance, amongst many other functions. Kinsidro Grow+ helps stimulate the production of phenolic compounds, improving disease and pest tolerance in plants. Thus, Kinsidro Grow+ can be an important tank mix partner with a T0 or early T1 fungicide application to help optimize disease control.

Kinsidro Grow+ is a straight potassic fertiliser made as a lignin based fulvic acid complex complemented with micronutrients. Kinsidro Grow+ has a biostimulating effect. We recommend applying Kinsidro Grow+ to actively growing plants for use in a wide range of crops including cereals, maize and sugar beet.

The Arylex™ advantage: Getting broad leaved weed control right this spring
As winter gives way to spring, one of the first considerations on arable farmers’ minds is getting back to fieldwork. Planning a robust herbicide programme should be a top priority this spring.
Learnings from the past three years have shown that the window for applications can open as early as February or as late as April. This spring, saturated soils following a very wet winter will delay growers’ ability to get on with the job, which makes preparation – including getting the right chemistry in store and ready to go – all the more important.
In addition, weed pressure will pose a greater threat. This is because the persistent autumn rain will have washed out any residual herbicides from the soil profile. And there will also be spring-germinating weeds to care of, especially where spring cereals are sown. Getting a good grip on the weed burden that is present is an important first step before deciding on herbicide investment.
Corteva’s Arylex™ active molecule has become a mainstay of any spring broadleaf weed herbicide programmes. Arylex’s key point of difference from traditional chemistry is the ability to perform extremely well in cold and fluctuating temperatures. This makes the molecule a great fit for early spring, while sulfonylurea chemistry may struggle to achieve good control of some weed species, especially larger poppies. Trials by Corteva have shown a 1.75t/ha yield benefit in winter wheat by treating crops with Arylex. Continue reading here.
