Shield Pro is the new name for Dow Shield 400

Dow Shield® 400 has been renamed Shield Pro™. There are no changes to the formulation. Shield Pro is the tried and trusted herbicide for control of yield-robbing weeds in sugar beet. Not only is it the go-to solution for thistles and volunteer potatoes, it will also boost the activity of your tank mixture, giving wider control of other broad-leaved weeds in sugar beet.

Our expert advice video with Tom Robinson and Andrew Myatt is designed to highlight the importance of good sprayer hygiene and winter maintenance. This information will be of use to all operators who want to keep their machines clean and well maintained, but is of particular interest to those applying fungicides containing Inatreq active, in 2023.

Pioneer Sclerotinia Protector Winter Oilseed Rape hybrid, PT303, maintains a high position on the ADHB UK RL


Pioneer Sclerotinia Protector Winter Oilseed Rape hybrid, PT303, maintains a high position on the ADHB Recommended List for the UK Region demonstrating a gross average output yield of 104% and seed yield of 102%. View the ADHB Recommended list here

PT303 remains the only hybrid to be marketed in the UK with a claim for tolerance to sclerotinia.

Further key characteristics of PT303:
  • Notable autumn vigour and spring regrowth rates
  • Turnip yellow virus resistance
  • Partial Verticillium stem stripe resistance
  • Later flowering – earlier maturity combination
  • Tall with good lodging resistance and stem fitness
  • PT303 provides broad options for the application of flowering fungicides

Introducing BlueN, a nutrient efficiency biostimulant

We have launched BlueN, a novel nutrient efficiency biostimulant for use in a broad range of crops. BlueN contains Methylobacterium symbioticum, a bacteria found in nature that fixes nitrogen from the air and converts it to a usable form of nitrogen for the plant. BlueN provides a sustainable, additional source of nitrogen for the plant ensuring the plant has access to nitrogen all season long.
